These new lightweight metal MT-G models, based on the MTG-B2000, combine the properties of metal, carbon and resin. Introducing two models that use laminated carbon for the bezel frame and bezel top. The newly developed carbon technology has created a new exterior design.

With 235pcs carbon and glass fibre sheets laminated and carved to form the bezel frame on the side of the watch. With the help of lightweight materials makes it is about 77% lighter than the stainless steel bezel frame. In addition, the top layer carbon sheet is reinforced by stacking it around the side at 3 o'clock, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, and 12 o'clock. By wrapping a carbon sheet around the lug in a cylindrical shape, the durability is further improved. Together with the newly designed polygonal crown, it creates a strong and beautiful side view. Together with the core shock-resistant structures are the latest additions to the lineup in 2021.

Functionwise, these models maintain constant Bluetooth® connection with a smartphone running the G-SHOCK Connected app to obtain accurate time information from an online time server for automatic time adjustment, even if you move between time zones. MULTIBAND 6 automatically adjusts time settings based on the reception of one of six calibration signals around the globe when you are within the range of a signal, even if the connection with a smartphone is not possible, for accurate timekeeping no matter where your travels take you.
