It is common to develop plantar fasciitis if you are on your feet a lot or participate in sports. The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. An increase in activities that your feet aren't used to can strain or aggravate the plantar fascia, leaving you with heel pain (for more information on why this happens, check out on it!)
